Secret 7"

Once again I'm chuffed to display photos showing my involvement in 2024's secret 7" exhibition. This is one of my favourite competitions, I love designing record sleeves and it raises money for a cause that in an ideal world would not be necessary. I'm very disappointed that I couldn't get involved in the 2025 exhibition as I'm committed to finishing commissions and building a long awaited studio! Watch this space for that.

So last year on the South East bank of London there was once again a vivid array of hope in the shape of 700 unique record covers. Check it out!

Mine was a 3 colour screen printed cover that was created by using positive hand inked illustrations on drafting film.

Displayed at the Now Gallery on Greenwich’s peninsular, is a host of musically themed artwork available to buy with all the proceeds going to help children effected by conflict.

The concept is clever and clear. 7 tracks from 7 well known musicians/singers and bands are listed, artists pick one and create a unique 7 inch cover artwork. 700 are chosen and pressed and either printed or matched with their respective original artworks. But there is a little catch. The artwork creator must not name themselves, the song or the artist who created the music. Why? Because otherwise it wouldn’t be a bloody secret would it!

Punters bid to try and get their hands on the artwork they like most, and hopefully they'll love the tune too!

Now that the auction is over and my artwork has been sold, I can share my artwork and picture of the exhibition.
